Great hotel and great room easy to reach with public transport.
The sound of the passing traffic you might notice. to us it was absolutely no problem.
This hotel was ideally situated. The staff were friendly and the room was immaculate and had all the facilities that you require. It was great value for money and we will definitely be returning again.

    Smart, comprehensive and very clean
It's London and little parking available locally. I paid for a reserved parking space which was great if a little pricey but the cost of accommodation was good so not a problem.
New refurb and very well done. Smart room decor and spotlessly clean with plenty of towels, tea and coffee and toiletries. Would definitely recommend.

    Grateful value for money
A bit far from Heathrow and Central London. But given the price and quality of the rooms it is worth the stay for a travellers on a budget.
Very modern hotel. Clean beautiful property, it is excellent value for money. Close to public transportation .

Cleanliness as always , helpful staff-friendly and polite
The heater in my room didn't work properly and the nights were extremely cold ; my room was noisy -had a window overlooking the streets on the first floor ; the sheets are not quality ; and the fridge should be open for everyone to use and the amount of what has been used deducted from the credit card ....
Cleanliness as always , helpful staff-friendly and polite , very nice room ,proximity with two bus driving straight to the underground ....

Unexpectedly solid 3-star in a surprising location.”
I'll keep this to bullet points: * the bed was not that comfortable. Compared to an Ibis for example it really wasn't in the same league. *the staff were not very helpful/friendly/didn't have good English/a mix of all three. Certainly the available facilities and discounts were not made clear and I sort of slowly picked them up through seeing bits and pieces here and there. *the room tended to get very hot requiring the AC to be switched on even though it was mid-December. *there were no glasses for drinking water or brushing your teeth. *there was no hand soap for washing your hands in the tiny sink. *if you aren't travelling by car then it is a fair distance from the nearest station, though served by several buses.
눇 The Lion and Key is, as far as I know, the only 3 star hotel in Leyton and it delivers everything it should at that price. I don't believe they are offering breakfast currently but there are lots of cafes and restaurants on the same block so catering shouldn't be an issue. When I visited the hotel was very clean and very cheap. The décor was minimal, unfussy and modern, which I liked. The shower was a good sized rainfall type with good pressure and nice modern fixtures. There's a lift up to the room and I believe there is a discounted rate at a nearby gym available. There was a fridge with a selection of about six cans of soft drink and two bottles of water. The whole mini bar could be purchased for a very reasonable, by mini bar standards, five pounds. There is a very nearby road which, although busy, can be used to park for free a couple of minutes walk from the Lion and Key. Alternatively, if convenience is more important than budgetary concerns then there is also a yard out back with perhaps eight spaces which can be booked for £15 a night. If you wish to book parking I would advise getting in touch with the hotel in advance as all the spaces were taken when I was there. The room boasts the expected tea and coffee making facilities. Of slightly more interest was a very modern TV which could receive screen sharing from my phone, meaning I could watch whatever I wanted on the big screen and through the more powerful speakers of the TV. All hotels should offer this in my opinion! Sockets on both sides of the bed and sensible, easily understood light switches round off a good, simple, modern layout for the electronics.

    very impressed
I did not like the fact that there were no glasses to drink water. The staff were unable to explain why my email or phone request to have water place in the room was not fulfilled. Staff may require additional training on how to answer questions instead of being evasive.
The room and bed were very good. The room was also very clean and the heating system worked very well. Excellent quality overall.

    Good time
Room was big enough for at least one chair to relax in but there wasn't one. A brought in breakfast option would be good until restaurant completed. Local area a bit run down and uninviting.
New, clean and modern hotel. Nice sized room and shower room, air conditioned, hospitality tray, hair dryer, 7 soft drinks in room fridge for £5 was good

    Very nice, good value hotel.
The bed was comfortable but it did seem quite small. No breakfast facilities.
The room was large, well appointed and very clean. Our room was well soundproofed and very quiet. It had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend it.
